Kin paints with photo collage, with a view to compiling a book/exhibition to tell a story of riotously good and ferociously hard times. Diary of a Lone Woodsman (2021 ongoing)

In the years living off-grid in the wilds, Kin never did set up a You Tube Channel, the how to slow soil erosion on a 12ft river bank, the mapping and planning of a forest garden, the fixing of a chainsaw.

However, a diary of this chapter did emerge. 

Taking photographs of land, trees, fungi, plants and river. Taking photographs of herself, often dressed and painted for the ritual. Simple editing apps on a phone became accessible tools to layer images, to describe an emotion, a season, the light or lack of.

Some of these photographs have been printed and exhibited, London (Procreate Project) and Basingstoke (Cellophane Pie), both 2023.
