Grief Composting

Emotional Mulch

Wood Wool Wire

Kin observed the worms. Each dig revealed some, lots or no worms. A good compost heap has a lot of worms. A healthy soil is aerated by the passage and activities of worms.

Worms are critical in the recycling of dead matter to new soil. Kin imagined if they could also compost grief. Reach our hearts to turn sorrow into joy, or simply stillness.

Grief Composting (2022) Made from hawthorn wood, wool and wire discarded from a solar installation.
